		<description>Sorry about that.

This was an unintentional omission on my part. When referring to High Ranking websites in this instance, I was explicitly speaking in regards to Google Page Rank.

Maybe straying a bit from the topic, maybe not - I don&#039;t necessarily think that a website with a Page Rank of 6 dealing with realty (as per your example) that is lower in the serps (search engine results pages) would necessarily be less relevant than a website with a Page Rank of 2 that ranks higher in the serps for a keyword or phrase.

Personally, I would seek out to get a link in the directory with a Page Rank of 6, even though it had a lower ranking in the search results due to the weight it could send me in regards to Page Rank.

Maybe that answers that, or maybe I didn&#039;t understand your posting correctly.

Though, it is nice to be *aboard*!

<description>First of, congratulation Rob on your first post here at the directory blog. Welcome aboard.

Good read, but I would say that there is one BIG question left in the air!

What is a high ranking directory?

I see lots of directory owners fighting it out for top rankings for the search terms related to web directories, but what good will that do to a realtor site that is looking for a listing? I get the feeling that trust rank, that indefinable creacion of Google´s has more relevancy than high ranking for web directory search terms.

just my 2 cents of a euros worth .. :)

Regards
